It was amazing to see the NAIDOC celebrations after last year's celebration was limited to social media channels and an arts workshop due to COVID. The theme for this year's event, "Get up! Stand up! Show up!", emphasised the need for systemic change and reforms by continuing to show up, especially in the protection of environmental, cultural, and heritage sites as we for the future. It was great to welcome back the community and see everyone come together to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
